Job Title: Vice President, Logistics
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise key input metrics and improve corresponding output metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery rates, and product quality at point of delivery.
- Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory levels and respond to market changes.
- Streamline inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics to reduce
order fulfilment cycle time and improve efficiency.
- Focus on improving inventory turns by optimising replenishment lead times and sales velocity.
- Drive supply chain costs, budget and financial metrics to optimise for cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
- Leverage technology and supply chain management systems to improve efficiency, visibility, and automation within the supply chain.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10 - 12 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in large scale FMCG e-commerce
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive digital transformation and innovation in logistics
- Knowledge of financial acumen, including supply chain costs, budgeting, and financial metrics
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Expertise in supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and related technology solutions
