Job Title: Chemistry Teacher

Location: Egbeda, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• At QEFAS Preparatory School, we are looking for a dedicated educator who possesses a deep knowledge of both Chemistry and has a passion for teaching. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the understanding of these subjects for our students, preparing them for local examinations such as UTME and WAEC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the school's Chemistry curriculum.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Masters, PhD or higher in Chemistry or related field.
• 3 - 20 years work experience.
• Teaching qualification/certification is preferred.
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary school level, colleges or university.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian educational curriculum and assessment methods.
• ICT compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Proximity to Akowonjo, Lagos, ensuring timely arrival for teaching duties.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.

Desirable:

• Possession of experience or credentials in English Language teaching.
• Residency near the school's location, or a willingness to relocate, to reduce transportation expenses.

Compensation

• Competitive salary and benefits, including ongoing professional development opportunities. Additionally, we feel passionate about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a total compensation of N100,000 - N200,000 monthly.
