We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Locations: South-South & South-East, Nigeria
Nationality: Nigerian
Industry: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

Job Objective

  • Lead the commercial operation of a designated territory within a region.
  • Develop our direct and indirect sales channels by coming up with appropriate plans and measurement tools that will grow the company’s volume, raise its profitability, and increase the market share of its brands.
  • Business/Territory Development/Marketing & Sales

Core Deliverables

  • Deliver the monthly and annual sales targets for the territory.
  • Achieve availability of products in wholesale and retail outlets that are at the same level as our main competitors.
  • Identify, create and execute opportunities to increase sell-in/sell-out.
  • Supervise, coach, and train the team on the job to increase sales productivity.

Other Job Functions:

  • Provide weekly/monthly sales forecasts for the assigned territory.
  • Drive the flawless execution of the sales plan for the territory as agreed with the ROM.
  • Develop strong relationships and close collaboration with all distributors in the territory.
  • Liaise with the Logistics/Warehouse team to ensure that goods are delivered promptly.
  • Ensure proper management and control of company assets.
  • Track the disciplined execution of the ASMs’ work plan and of the SRs’ daily/weekly call plan (actual calls versus calls scheduled; productive calls versus actual calls made; outlets covered versus target).
  • Monitor the consistent daily reconciliation of stocks sold through redistribution.
  • Coach and develop the team through appropriate coaching routines and training plans.
  • Monitor the team’s performance and provide feedback to them regularly.
  • Work together with the Marketing team to execute and track activities in the territory, and come up with new ideas.
  • Identify and implement operational cost savings.
  • Propose strategies, budgets, and goals for the Annual Business Plan of the territory.

Job Requirements

  • A Master's Degree is a must-have as an educational qualification.
  • Professional Certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a similar role; preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Must be fluent in Igbo language.
  • Must reside within the stated region.
  • Must be fluent in Igbo language.
