Job Title: Job Title: Ophthalmologist

Location: Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' vision health and diagnose eye conditions or diseases.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, including prescribing medications, recommending corrective lenses, or performing surgical procedures.
  • Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, corneal transplants, and other advanced surgical techniques.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery, including managing follow-up appointments and monitoring recovery progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and nurses, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in ophthalmology through continuing education and participation in professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, including examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • A medical degree in Ophthalmology.
  • 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Successful completion of an internship and residency in Ophthalmology.
  • A license to practice Ophthalmology.
  • NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter for Nigerian citizens
  • Proficiency in performing surgical procedures related to Ophthalmology.
  • Good administrative and managerial skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Expert working knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
  • Strong physics and math skills, and excellent medical knowledge.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
