Job Description

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated primary school teacher to join our team. The primary school teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective lessons that align with the school's curriculum and state/national standards.
  • Develop and implement instructional materials and activities to cater to different learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the needs of each student are met.
  • Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain classroom organization and manage student behavior effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Attend school events, meetings, and other activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, OND, HND in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 1 - 5 years work experience.
  • Knowledge of current teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and educational technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the classroom.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications used in the classroom.

Salary

  • N30,000 - N80,000 monthly.
