St. Saviour’s School Ebute Metta was founded by the Colonial Church School Trust, established by St. Saviour’s Colonial Church Council at the inspiration of Canon R. A. Wright. The funds of the trust were provided through Frank Samuel Esq of the United African Company Limited and by the commercial firms established in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Primary School Teacher

Location: Ebute Metta, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The role expects the teacher to possess the ability to teach a class of pupils and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs under the guidance of the sectional head and head teacher.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing daily and long-term lesson plans per curriculum guidelines.
  • Teaching a full range of subject areas
  • Supervising students throughout the day, both in the classroom and outside during breaks
  • Discussing students’ progress with parents and guardians
  • Assessing and evaluating students’ educational progress and abilities.
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies.
  • Administer academic assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress for meeting academic learning targets and progress in knowledge acquisition.
  • Value and support students to achieve their full potential
  • Ensure provision is aligned with best practices nationally
  • Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • NCE, B.Ed. Degree in Education, possession of TRCN certificate will be an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Must have good command of English.
