Job Description

• An exquisite restaurant in Ibadan is looking for an accounting officer to structure and manage its accounting systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable
• Daily reconciliation of POS, debit card, transfers and cash sales
• Manage and document vendor invoices
• Sales tax reporting
• Bill pay; help operators manage approval and payment for outstanding invoices
• Pay sales taxes
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Produce monthly income statements and balance sheet
• Payroll processing and payroll tax returns
• Periodic inventory and stock checking
• This individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely monthly restaurant profit and loss statements.

Requirements

• A graduate with a minimum of B.Sc. in Accounting, Economics or relevant fields of study
• Proven work experience as an Accounting Officer
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• An experience managing the books for a restaurant is an added advantage
• Good problem-solving and time-management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-directed / Strong sense of ownership
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understands and values hospitality
• Smart and motivated team player
• Good at financial report writing, and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Great at working with teams across levels.
• This is a full-time position.
• The applicant should be available to start immediately.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 / month.
