Job Title: Polytechnic Librarian

The Person
- The Polytechnic Librarian is a Principal Officer who is responsible to the Rector for the smooth running, policy formulation and development of the Polytechnic Library.
Qualifications and Experience
- The candidate should possess a good honours degree and an M.LS with at least 15 years post-qualification cognate experience plus evidence of registration with a professional Library body.
Publications
The Polytechnic Librarian is regarded as an academic staff for which he earns academic allowances. He should, therefore, provide evidence of at least Four (4) published Journals, Articles, Three (3) Conferences or Four (4) chapter contributions in Standard Textbooks or Two (2) Standard Textbooks from recognized publishers.
In addition, the candidate should be:
- A person with good leadership qualities;
- Able to inspire and mentor the library staff;
- Focused, innovative and a good team player;
- Computer literate in line with global best practices; and have
- Good health.
Age Limit:
- Candidates above 50 years of age need not apply.
