Job Title: Head of Sales

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • As the Head of Sales you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives. 
  • You will lead a team of sales professionals, drive business growth, and foster strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Sales Strategy: Create and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Sales Performance Management: Monitor sales metrics, analyze performance data, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and address concerns promptly.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales role.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 5 years in the telecommunications sector.
  • Experience in B2B sales is essential.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the telecommunications, IT, or related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
