Jami Al Hakeem Foundation is a Women Led, Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization, Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2008. The organization Since its inception has Extensive Experience in Coordinating Programme Interventions across Communities and Various Target Audience including Youths, Women, and Girls.

Jami Al Hakeem Foundation (J-HF) in partnership with ActionAid Nigeria, is implementing a 12-month Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) project titled” Women’s Empowerment for management of Acute Malnutrition and vital WASH Enhancement project (WEAVE)” to improve access to WASH services in Geidam and Fune Local Government areas of Yobe State, North-East Nigeria. The project will involve community engagement through training on waste management and sanitation marketing, involving women's groups and hygiene promoters. The project will further establish environmental health clubs in schools. Special events will be organized to raise awareness about positive hygiene practices, ensuring sustainable WASH and other related interventions in the target communities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer

Location: Damaturu, Yobe
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive project M&E plan aligned with project objectives, indicators, and data collection methods.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data on project activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact.
  • Prepare regular monitoring reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and achievements.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation and identify any challenges

  • Facilitate participatory monitoring activities with communities.
  • Prepare and submit timely M&E reports, including key findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct baseline and end line surveys to assess project impact.
  • Contribute to the development of lessons learned and best practices.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E of development projects.
  • Strong understanding of WASH M&E frameworks and tools.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
