Job Summary
- The Dangote Cement Plc is in search of an extremely skilled Assistant General Manager of Mechanical, who specializes in the Cement Industry.
- As the Assistant General Manager, your main responsibility will be to supervise the mechanical operations of our cement plants, guaranteeing the efficient operation of the machinery and equipment..
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the maintenance, repair, and operation of cement plant machinery.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety consciousness among team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime.
- Manage maintenance budgets, procurement, and inventory control.
- Create reports and presentations to communicate maintenance activities and performance to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the cement industry
- Strong knowledge of cement plant machinery and equipment
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the cement industry
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications
