Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief General Manager of Maintenance to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities within the Dangote Cement Plc.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of maintenance practices, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance professionals, including technicians, engineers, and support staff.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of machinery.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize maintenance schedules and minimize production interruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance budget and control costs while maximizing productivity.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in maintenance technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance maintenance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Eegree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 27 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a heavy industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
- Good understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software is a plus.
