Job Title: Campaign Lead, Surge Africa

Role Overview

  • As the Campaign Lead, you will be responsible leading, proposing, planning and executing Surge Africa’s campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive campaign strategies aligned with our organization's mission and goals and promote existing campaigns.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multi-channel campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social media, events, and grassroots initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop impactful messaging, creative content, and advocacy materials that resonate with our target audience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and influencers to amplify campaign reach and impact.
  • Monitor campaign performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports and analysis to inform decision-making and optimize future campaigns.
  • Stay informed about climate-related issues, trends, and developments to ensure our campaigns remain relevant and effective.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • Proven 3 years experience in campaign management, preferably in the nonprofit sector or environmental advocacy.
  • Strong strategic thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving social change.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of climate change issues and environmental sustainability initiatives is preferred.
  • Ability to anticipate climate trends using both research and own insight, and brings the project into the fore of that trajectory.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
