St. Francis Catholic Secondary School (SFCSS), Idimu, is a Catholic school run by the North-West African Province of the Society of Jesus. It was founded in 1990 by a Jesuit priest, Fr. Francis Cusimano, S.J. The first set of students arrived in January 1991. St. Francis Catholic Secondary School runs the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education.

Job Title: Music Teacher

Job Description

• Plans and implements the lesson plan.
• Developing and implementing student-centered curricula.
• Records student grades and attendance.
• Staying up-to-date on musical trends and changes in technology.
• Teach students how to play musical instruments, read music, and understand music theory.
• Lead ensemble groups, such as choirs, orchestras, and marching bands.
• Grades written and practical examinations.
• Encouraging creative expression through music.
• Organizing and leading music-related field trips.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior experience in teaching Music.
• Bachelor’s degree in Music.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Determined and dependable.
• Passionate about music.
