We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill a very strategic position within our Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE) Program. We are looking for motivated individuals, members of targeted community ready and willing to work in dynamic team to fill the position below:

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE) Program

Job Summary
  • The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will support in all aspects of monitoring, evaluation, learning, research, and information management.
  • S/he will be responsible for data collection, collation and analysis, support research efforts, documenting project impacts, and coordinating with Mercy Corps’ partner M&E staff.
  • The candidate will support the transitioning of marginalized girls into economic activities.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or relevant field, with a strong foundation in research methods, statistics, measurement, and evaluation.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of M&E work experience; ideal candidate will have both theoretical and practical background in M&E and skilled in qualitative and quantitative M&E methodologies and techniques.
  • Knowledge of program development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Experience working under UK Department for International Development (DfID) grants or contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with: Excel, PowerPoint, Epi-Info, SPSS, Access, and any other statistical packages.
  • Demonstrated understanding of intermediate and advanced statistics and the ability to summarize, generalize, and make predictions from large data sets.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English required. Hausa language skills desired.
