Christopher University is a private university approved by the Federal Government on February 25, 2015 and licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin academic operations on March 5, 2015.

The MISSION of the university is to create a specialized institution committed to the pursuit of academic innovation, skill-based training and a tradition of excellence in teaching and research with private sector participation.

Job Description
  • The Registrar, a Principal Officer, is the Chief Administrative Officer of the university responsible to the Vice- Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except for financial matters, which fall within the purview of the Bursar, The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University.
Requirements
  • The candidate shall be a person of high integrity and strong moral character with excellent interpersonal relations.
  • The Candidate must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
  • The candidate must fully understand the complexity of a university system and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to attain a world class administrative system.
  • The candidate must be in good health, be ICT complaint and must not be older than sixty (60) years at assumption of duty.
  • In addition the Registrar must be able to demonstrate dynamism and wisdom when confronted with crisis or undesirable situations.
  • S/he must also be an achiever who should show exceptional abilities for institutional loyalty and networking with the outside world.
Qualification and Experience
  • Candidates must possess a good honours degree and at least fifteen (15) years of post qualification administrative and professional experience, with a minimum of five (5) years at the management level.
  • The candidate must not be at a level less than the equivalent of a Deputy Registrar in a Federal University.
  • Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional bodies will be an added advantage. Christopher University.
Condition of Service
  • The appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years.
  • The salary and other conditions of service shall be as applicable in private universities in Nigeria.
