Job Title: Reservations / Front Desk Officer

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Reservations/Front Desk Officer to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, along with the necessary educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Handle hotel reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the booking process.
  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival and provide them with necessary information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient front desk area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, following established procedures and maintaining accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and special events to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining guest records.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an OND, HND, or B.Sc Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hotel Reservations and Front Desk Officer or a similar role in the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Relevant educational qualifications in the hotel and hospitality industry are preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a friendly and approachable personality.
  • Knowledge of reservation and front desk procedures in the hotel industry.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Female candidates are preferred for this position.
