We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team in the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Cashier, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling cash, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience at the point of sale.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, using the cash register or other electronic payment systems.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, POS and other forms of payment, ensuring proper reconciliation and accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cash register area, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Provide accurate pricing and product information to customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as reception and concierge, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Follow established procedures for opening and closing the cash register, including balancing cash drawers and preparing daily reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably within the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Relevant educational qualifications in hotel and hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with electronic payment systems and proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle peak periods of customer traffic.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
