Job Title: Director, Finance and Investment (DFI)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will play a critical role in developing financial and Investment strategies, implementing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • The Finance Director will lead a team of finance professionals and collaborate closely with other department heads to drive financial performance and support the company's overall objectives.

Job Summary

  • Oversee all aspects of Finance and Investment in the organization.
  • Develop and collate budgets for all activities of the organization.
  • Liaise with all Heads of Directorates to plan realistic budget each year
  • Ensure thorough and judicious fund utilization and expenditure in the organization.
  • Develop Cost saving strategies for all activities and events.
  • Advice on low-risk investment opportunities for the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall supervision, preparation of management accounts and financials in our organization.
  • Plan budget and co-ordinate monthly financial performance measurement of the organization.
  • Formulate and implement all the organization’s financial operating strategy
  • Balance Sheet management and diligently scrutinize all financial policies
  • Administration of corporate and personal Tax
  • Management of relationship with External Auditors and Tax authorities
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and Board papers to FIC and EXCO
  • Ensuring total compliance with IFRS
  • Supervision of payroll functions, store records and the entire finance functions
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the Registrar/CEO.

  • 100% Statutory relevant returns (ITF, NSIFT, WHT, VAT, PAYE)
  • 100% Meeting Statutory deadlines
  • 90% Annual Budgetary/Budgetary control/Cost control
  • 90% coordination of the organization Chapters (liaising with Zones and Branches)
  • 90% Treasury and Investment
  • 80% Performance Report of Management Centers
  • 90% Stakeholder satisfaction
  • 90% Member satisfaction index
  • 90% Employee satisfaction index.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • Post- graduate degree in any related field will be an added advantage.
  • Member of a relevant professional body e.g. ICAN, ANAN, ACA etc.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Director position and 5 years or any related field experience in a similar organization will be an added advantage.
