Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Intercontinental Chef with a minimum of 3 years of expertise in preparing a diverse range of international cuisines, with a focus on grilled chicken salad, juicy oven-baked BBQ chicken, shrimp & broccoli in garlic sauce, vegetable stir-fry, and more.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary creativity, a strong understanding of flavor profiles, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes that delight our guests.

Job Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Create innovative and appealing menu items inspired by global cuisines, with a focus on grilled chicken salad, juicy oven-baked BBQ chicken, shrimp & broccoli in garlic sauce, vegetable stir-fry, and other intercontinental specialties.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency, while also adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ingredient Sourcing: Source and select the freshest and highest quality ingredients, including meats, seafood, vegetables, herbs, and spices, to enhance the flavor and authenticity of each dish.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, recipe execution, and food presentation, while also fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction, address any special dietary requirements or preferences, and respond promptly to feedback and requests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, and incorporate new ideas and innovations into menu development and kitchen operations to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Intercontinental Chef, with a focus on grilled chicken salad, BBQ chicken, shrimp dishes, vegetable stir-fry, and other international specialties.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques and cuisines, including but not limited to American, Mediterranean, Asian, and European.
  • Strong creativity and culinary flair, with a passion for exploring new flavors and ingredients.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with certification preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized culinary school or institution preferred.
