We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Skipper
Location: Lagos
Job Role
- To be in charge of shipyard launch for docking operations and support to marine services.
- Collision regulations to be critically observed at all times.
Key Aim / Objectives:
- Ensuring safe and effective handling of the Vessels and Equipment.
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with the docking of ships safely, including towing and pushing.
- Ensuring the safety of Crew members.
- Safe keeping of all equipment assigned to and keeping away from hazards.
- Ensure all crew wear their life-jackets.
- To ensure that the vessel is properly kept.
- Maintain a daily check list for the boat & life vests.
- Maintain good housekeeping habits.
- Other tasks / duties may be requested by supervisors and management
Requirements
- Secondary school certificate.
- S.T.C.W. certificate.
- Quartermaster or River Master Certification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in similar industry.
- Good English and communication skills.
- Read and Write.
