Job Title: Vice Principal (International & British School) - Nigeria

Location: Atosin-Idanre, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Leadership & Standard Academics:

  • Oversee the implementation of the British curriculum, ensuring it aligns with Nigerian regulations.
  • Lead and support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction.
  • Monitor academic progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Manage curriculum development and ensure it meets international standards.

Student Wellbeing & Pastoral Care:

  • Work closely with the Principal to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Address student concerns and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Foster a positive school culture that celebrates diversity.
  • Collaborate with counselors and other staff to support student well-being.

Staff Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor teachers, providing professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback.
  • Build a strong team spirit among faculty and staff.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

Operational Management:

  • Assist the Principal in managing the day-to-day operations of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Develop and manage the school budget (depending on the specific structure).
  • Oversee communication with parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Education or a relevant field (preferred)
  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within an international or British school setting
  • Proven track record of improving academic achievement
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the British curriculum and its adaptation to the Nigerian context
  • Fluency in English and a commitment to fostering a multicultural learning environment

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
