Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and increase market share in the diesel supply industry.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for diesel sales across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, agricultural, and residential markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including fuel distributors, fleet operators, construction companies, agricultural businesses, and government agencies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, and use insights to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, track sales metrics, and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer relationship management abilities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to develop effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns to support sales efforts and drive customer engagement.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain departments to ensure timely delivery of diesel products to customers and resolve any delivery or service issues promptly.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budget plans for management review, and provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies related to diesel supply and ensure compliance in all sales activities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness, generate leads, and expand business relationships.
- Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends, and provide market intelligence to management to support business growth and expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of Three (3) year of proven experience as a marketer or in a similar role.
- Honesty, commitment, hardworking and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
