Job Description
  • To participate in the planning and execution of field development activities like rig less work or new well drilling, leading to increased hydrocarbon recovery and support the business in various other ways as required by carrying out activities leading to maturation of hydrocarbon resources from volumes to value for the NPDC/NECONDE Joint Venture.

Key Deliverables/KPI - SMART - Maximum 5
  • Provide high quality reservoir engineering input into short-term oil generation activities with the objective of maximizing the ultimate recovery of hydrocarbons (oil, gas, and condensate).
  • Execute the Well and Reservoir Surveillance process for the fields in OML 42 and other NEL Assets.
  • Identify data gathering requirements - pressures (BHP, MDT etc.), PVT, fluid contacts (e.g. cased-hole RST), production splits (PLTs), production measurement improvements etc.
  • Plan data gathering activities. Prepare data gathering proposals. Monitor/coordinate data gathering activities, including on-site supervision. Analyze raw data (in many cases by supervising service contractor). Interpret results and update models.
  • Update and maintain Asset data base, Provide RE input drill well proposals and end of well reports, Carry out well site operations functions, Support accurate definition of well trajectory for maximized hydrocarbon recovery, Carry out FDP execution activities
Key Competencies - Maximum 5
  • Proficient in the design and interpretation of welltests with Saphirr, proficient user of PE IPM Suite of software and OFM.
  • Proven experience in reservoir simulation with ECLIPSE / Petrel RE. Capability of running, improving and managing existing model as well as leading and guiding integrated reservoir modelling teams.
  • Able to build and run integrated production models including reservoir and pipelines and optimize for production and reserves. Show creativity and innovation in optimizing production.
General Knowledge, Managerial and/or Technical Skills - 5 Maximum
  • Leadership: Strong Leadership position in E & P Company, excellent influencing skills and ability to forge strong relationships at various levels, proven ability to lead and inspire cross-discipline groups, commitment to technical leadership and ability to lead skills pool staff working under different asset teams.
  • People Development Skills: Respected technical mentor with excellent coaching abilities, and with a proven track record of commitment to people development.
  • He/she will have demonstrated respect for people.

Education/Certification & Experience required - 5 maximum
  • A graduate degree in Engineering or Physical Science, with a minimum of 15 years oil and gas.
  • Experienced on a technical lead position in a subsurface team
