We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Media Manager: Portal

Location:

Job Purpose
  • Airtel Portal business has grown to $1m monthly business and needs to become a $2m monthly business.
  • This role will ensure that already launched portal drives revenue and new portal are launched with the objective of generating incremental revenue, increased ARPU and customer retention.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver Airtel Portal, Data VAS and APps Revenue:
  • Generating revenues through Portal, Apps and Data VAS
  • Ensure uptake of Portal, Apps and Data VAS Business to Drive ARPU on existing customers
  • Use the Portal, Apps and Data VAS Business to acquire new customers
  • Content tie-ups and relevance to ensure revenue upside
Content Management on Airtel Portals, Apps and Data VAS and Partner Tie-Ups:
  • Periodically improve the all Portal User Interface through working with Partners
  • Portal tie-ups with content partners for Apps, Data VAS Portal Line Extension
  • New Products on Airtel Portals
  • Content programming
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Content Management
  • Billing integration
  • URL integration
  • Access to 3rd Party portals
Portal, Data VAS and Apps Launch:
  • Football Portal Launch
  • Religious Portal launch
  • Other content services
  • Apps
  • Data VAS
Product Management:
  • Line Extension on Airtel Portals, Apps and Data VAS.
  • Manage all Portals, Apps and Data VAS
  • Manage partners and performance
  • Manage KPIs
  • Manage Content
  • Manage Contracts
  • Marcomms - BTL and ATL
Desired Skills and Experience
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Post-graduate qualification would be an added advantage
  • Sound understanding of charging and Billing systems
Relevant Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Telecommunications space, with a focus on product development.
  • Of the 5 years, 3 years should be in the VAS industry
  • Minimum of 2 years mid management experience
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
  • Affinity with and technical knowledge of the latest technologies and services used within the industry and affiliated industries.
