Statistician at the Edo State Broadcasting Service (EBS) - Edo State Public Service

The Edo State Public Service Commission is vested with the responsibilities of treating matters concerning the State Civil Service with respect to Appointments, Promotions, Discipline, Confirmation of Appointments, Transfers, Retirements, Petitions and Other related matters.

The Civil Service Commission carries out its functions and ministerial responsibilities in strict compliance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Edo State Civil Service Commission Law, Public Service Rules, Schemes of Service and other relevant Extant Circulars.

Job Title: Statistician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong support in the area of Planning, Research, Statistics and Technology in the discharge of assigned duties and responsibilities
• Provide accurate and reliable statistics
• Design questionnaires for the collection of statistical data
• Collate and analyze data
• Respond to enquiries on statistics from the State, researchers and stakeholders
• Prepare relevant reports to inform decision making
• Design and manage surveys, process and analyze data to enable effective allocation of resources, advocate for change in policy and other decision making elements
• Foster teamwork and meaningfully contribute to team's performance outcomes.
• Any other relevant duty as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any of the disciplines of Social Science or Humanities.
• A Masters' degree in Industrial & Labor Relations or any of the disci- pline specified above will be an added advantage.
• NYSC Discharge or Exception Certificate
• At least (3) three years' working experience for Grade Level 09 position.
• Proficient in MS-Word, Excel, Presentation etc.
• Applicants must be 35 years old or younger to be considered for the job.
