The Edo State Public Service Commission is vested with the responsibilities of treating matters concerning the State Civil Service with respect to Appointments, Promotions, Discipline, Confirmation of Appointments, Transfers, Retirements, Petitions and Other related matters.

The Civil Service Commission carries out its functions and ministerial responsibilities in strict compliance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Edo State Civil Service Commission Law, Public Service Rules, Schemes of Service and other relevant Extant Circulars.

Job Title: Principal Technical Officer - Engineering / Equipment Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing technical and practical support to Engineers in design, construction, maintenance and repairs
• Use variety of tools, including computers and other electronic devices
• Able to work with CAD software to create complex designs when needed
• Supervision on subordinates to install, maintain, and repair electronic and mechanical equipment
• Carry out routine checks and tests
• Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and customers Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and malfunctions
• Keep records of recordings and equipment used
• Carry out modifications and upgrades
• Order and maintain stocks of spares and components.

Qualifications

• HND Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Sound or Telecom Engineering
• A PGD/MSc in the discipline specified above will be an added advantage and Professional Certification (COREN)
• NYSC Discharge or Exception Certificate
• At least 6 years working experience.
• Proficient in MS-Word, Excel, CAD softwares etc.
• Applicants must be 35 years old or younger to be considered for the job.
