Job Description

  • We are seeking dynamic and accomplished individuals to join our faculty as Professors / Associate Professors / Assistant Professors of Microeconomics, Economics of Health and Health Care, and/or Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development in our esteemed Business School (JHBS).
  • The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting innovative research, delivering high-quality teaching, and contributing to the academic and intellectual life of the institution.
  • This role offer exciting opportunities to engage with students, collaborate with colleagues, and make meaningful contributions to the field of innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts impactful research of health and education policies on human capital formation and economic development. on microeconomic principles, market structure, game theory, and welfare economics. Economic dimensions of sustainable development and environmental conservation, leading to publications in top-tier academic journals.
  • Teaching courses on health economics, education policy, and human development, microeconomic theory, market behaviour, and policy implications. Environmental economics, natural resource management, and sustainable development.
  • Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional pursuits.
  • Contribute to the academic community through service activities, including committee work and participation in professional organizations.
  • Collaborating with ministries of health and education, as well as international organizations, on policy analysis and program evaluation in health and education sectors. Advises policymakers and government agencies on microeconomic policies, regulation, and antitrust issues. Also with environmental agencies and NGOs on policy analysis and environmental impact assessment.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Economics, Health Economics, Environmental Economics or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A strong record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate levels.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and theories to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
