Job Description

  • We are seeking a proactive and motivated Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the business and ensuring smooth operations in the sales department.
  • This role requires someone who is self-managed, able to take initiative within set boundaries and is committed to following instructions to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in person or over the phone, providing product information, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card payments, and issuing receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring products are neatly displayed and shelves are stocked.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business success.
  • Take responsibility for the business in the absence of management, making decisions within established guidelines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer experience.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements or new offerings based on customer interactions and observations.
  • Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends and competitors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office and point-of-sale systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem-solve within established boundaries.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.

Salary
N60,000 - N80,000 monthly
