Job Summary

  • Car Park Ticketing Officers are responsible for issuing parking tickets, collecting parking fees, and enforcing parking regulations within designated parking areas. This role is crucial for maintaining order, maximizing revenue, and promoting fair usage of parking facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ticket Issuance: Patrol assigned parking areas to identify violations like overstaying time limits, parking without a permit, or improperly occupying reserved spaces. Then, issue tickets to vehicles in violation.
  • Parking Fee Collection: Collect parking fees from parkers through various payment methods including cash, credit cards, mobile apps, or prepaid vouchers.
  • Ticket Dispensing: Operate ticket dispensers or automated systems to issue parking tickets when vehicles enter facilities.
  • Customer Assistance: Guide parkers on parking rules, payment options, and space availability.
  • Enforcement Actions: Accurately issue citations or warnings to vehicles violating regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, tickets, and revenue using manual or electronic systems.
  • Cash Handling: Count, reconcile, and deposit cash per organizational policies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor parking equipment and report any malfunctions to ensure proper operation.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations, signage, and facility rules.
  • Customer Service: Professionally address inquiries, complaints, or disputes and seek resolutions.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor for hazards, report suspicious activity, and cooperate with security personnel as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional customer service, hospitality, or related education is beneficial.
  • Previous parking enforcement, customer service, or cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of parking regulations, traffic laws, and payment procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping abilities.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, lift, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Proficient with handheld devices, computers, and parking management software.
  • Flexible to work various hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
