GIVO is a circular economy company, leveraging the use of technology to collect, process and upcycle plastic waste into valuable goods. We are a network of tech-enabled recycling centers with a manufacturing arm, where we make consumer and industrial products out of recyclables.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our recycling operations.
  • The Production Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring efficiencyand quality in production processes.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or recycling operations and excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates a production schedule.
  • Schedules regular maintenance for equipment.
  • Discuss budget expectations with clients.
  • Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Purchase the required materials for production.
  • Ensures all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
  • Communicates regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Evaluatemachine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
  • Sets productivity goals/targets and ensures the targets are met.
  • Ensures adequate scheduling of staff
  • Develops workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors and vendors to ensure that maintenance needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Operations Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Production role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Good understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in manufacturing or recycling operations.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with a variety of systems
  • Excellent Communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance work
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship
  • Industry experience is a must.
