Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fresh produce section, including fruits, vegetables, and other perishable items.
• Monitor inventory levels, freshness, and quality of products.
• Lead and supervise a team of fresh department staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of customer service and product presentation.
• Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with the inventory management team.
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to create visually appealing displays.
• Ensure that product signage and pricing are accurate and attractive.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns related to the fresh produce section, by fostering a customer-centric environment and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Daily floor walk through the department with the manager
• Trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover. Ensure Hygiene & housekeeping
• Develop process improvements to maximize sales and profitability.
• Team briefing, promo information sharing, new products details sharing
• Completes inventory management processes, spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Build and sustain a high-performance team and minimizes turnover
• Follows/compiles with all applicable health/sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• Relevant fresh experience minimum 2 to 3years’ in a retail environment
• In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends, and marketing strategies.
• Strong food hygiene knowledge, understanding product knowledge and strong selling techniques
• Stock sourcing, management experience and a passion for selling and delighting our customers.
