Job Title: Melter
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Proper checking the condition of lining and to decide about relining and hot patching of lining.
- Ensure selection of suitable scrap grade for charging in furnaces.
- Co-ordination with furnace staff including First Hand, Barriman, Helper for smooth charging of scrap and melting, Ladle Pouring etc.
- Responsible for bath sample analysis and calculate alloying additions to achieve desired chemistry for Billets.
- Monitoring of process parameters like Furnace Power, Metal Temperature, correct scrap sorting, slag removal etc.
- To coordinate with Maintenance team for Furnace Breakdown and to take appropriate action in case of any process failure.
- To ensure use of pollution control equipments properly during scrap charging.
Salary
N350,000 - N800,000 / month.
