Role Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Assistant Inventory Officer.
- The Assistant Inventory Officer will be responsible for supporting inventory management activities, ensuring accurate stock levels, and optimizing inventory processes to meet company goals.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Perform regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing goods in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure efficient stock flow and minimize stockouts.
- Assist in implementing inventory control measures to prevent shrinkage and loss.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in resolving inventory-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
