Learners Crib Consult - Our client is a professional and highly ethical new nursery school located in Wuye, Abuja. They believe in fostering the intellectual, interpersonal and holistic growth of children through various learning activities in our creche, playgroup, pre nursery and nursery classes. They also offer a weekend and holiday club for children between 4 to 12 years old. Their aim is to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can explore their interests and develop important and practical life skills. Job Title: Part-Time Music Instructor

Job Description

  • Our client is seeking a dedicated, highly professional Music Instructor skilled in piano, guitar, recorder and violin to join her team to inspire the next generation of music enthusiasts.

Working hours:

  • You will be working twice weekdays and every Saturdays.

Responsibilities 
The ideal candidate will:

  • Design and develop age-appropriate music curriculum (piano, guitar, recorder, and violin) that fosters creativity, imagination, and skill development in children aged 412.
  • Provide instruction in a variety of musical instruments suitable for young children, introducing basic techniques and fostering musical skills.
  • Supervise and support the children during sessions, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate group music activities, including group playing, singing, and movement exercises, to encourage teamwork, cooperation, and social interaction among children.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued and encouraged to participate.
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant health and safety guidelines.
  • Attend refresher training sessions at the office twice a month to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in virtual training sessions as required, to continuously improve skills and stay updated on best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Music or other related fields.
  • A professional certification in music.
  • Minimum of two years previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to develop engaging activities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the program.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work with limited supervision.
