Job Title: Early Years Music Teacher

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and qualified classroom teacher.
  • The position will focus on delivering high-quality education in Music within the British curriculum while applying the Montessori Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of early years and primary school children.
  • Instrumental Teaching: Teach basic music theory, introduce various musical instruments, and provide hands-on experience to students.
  • Vocal Training: Develop students' vocal abilities through singing exercises, choir practices, and performance opportunities.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and safe to express their selves musically.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to integrate music into cross-curricular activities and school events.
  • Professional Development: stay updated with the latest teaching methods, resources, and technologies in music education.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience teaching music to early years and primary school children.
  • Strong musical skills and proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
