We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Early Years Teacher (History)

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and qualified classroom teacher.
  • The position will focus on delivering high-quality education in History within the British curriculum while applying the Montessori Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Bring history to life through interactive lessons and storytelling
  • Cover key events, figures, and periods in British and world history
  • Encourage critical thinking and analysis of historical sources
  • Engage students in discussions and projects to deepen their understanding of the past
  • Assess and report on students' progress and performance.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in Education or relevant subject area.
  • 3 - 5 years experience.
  • An NCE with good knowledge of early years may be considered.
  • Proficiency in British English
  • Experience teaching British curriculum subjects
  • Experience with the Montessori technique is an advantage
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Suite
  • Teaching qualification/certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to education.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
