An ISO Accredited Medical Laboratory in Lagos Mainland, Lagos State, is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the laboratory's client base and revenue streams.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, including healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, and pharmaceutical companies.
- Lead the sales team in achieving sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and development.
- Response to drive and implement approved plans
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Represent the laboratory at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Build high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
- Drive adoption of services across customer segments
- Initiate, develop and manage relationships with key strategic partners, MDAs and NGOs
- Understand clients' needs and work closely with the other Managers to ensure high levels of customer experience; conduct customer surveys for effective customer journey mapping
- Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of financial structure, capital strategy & strategic priorities, partnership; creating market value and sales strategy.
- Disrupt, innovate and continue to develop the business model ahead of the market.
- Represents to internal and external stakeholders, seeks outside partnerships and develops strategies leading to agreements.
- Oversee the social media handles of the Company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in business development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of medical laboratory operations and procedures is preferred.
- Certification in Business Development or an MBA is a plus.
- Proven ability to have developed a product within the Industry in the past
Skill Set:
- Proven track record in business development within the healthcare industry, preferably in medical diagnostics or laboratory services.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ISO accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in the medical field.
- Ability to scan the business environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint and a capacity to learn new program
- Strong business acumen.
