Job Title: Head - Finance & Risk Management

Job Summary 

  • Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join its team as the Group Head of Finance and Risk Management.
  • The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations and risk management activities across the organization.
  • This position requires a deep understanding of financial principles, risk management methodologies, and regulatory compliance 

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis: 

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the organization. 
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. 
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections. 

Risk Management: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies, procedures, and controls. 
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across the organization, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and make adjustments as necessary. 

Financial Reporting and Compliance: 

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings. 
  • Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and laws. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews. 

Strategic Planning and Decision Support: 

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes. 
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation strategies, and potential acquisitions. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to assess the financial impact of business initiatives and projects. 

Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders. 
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulators, and auditors. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or FRM is highly desirable. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, risk management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement. 
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
