We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Central Business District, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and monitoring outstanding balances.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting activities to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and responding to tax inquiries and audits.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to management based on findings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, with experience using tools such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 / month.
