We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Collection Officer

Locations: Ibadan, Oyo and Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Drive the collections process across all regions to meet cash collection targets.
• Manage Collection Activity – Monitoring aging reports and collection activity to ensure receivables are collected within standard credit terms.
• Review collection process effectiveness and policies.
• Communicate professionally and empathetically with champions to build rapport and facilitate cooperative debt resolution.
• Provide champions with accurate information regarding their outstanding debts, payment options, and available assistance programs.
• Drive re-negotiations and contract adjustments.
• Collaborate with the Recovery Officer and other team members to share insights, best practices, and strategies for debt recovery.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance collection techniques, negotiation skills, and knowledge of relevant regulations.
• Support colleagues in their collection efforts, providing guidance and assistance when necessary.
• Take a leadership role in the design and analysis of collections information supporting the Collections optimization.
• Work with the portfolio management department to drive strategy implementation.
• Staff Development: Involvement in the career development of the team and any staffing decisions.
• Leadership: Effectively lead, manage, and develop collections teams and clusters across current and new city launches.

Qualifications

• OND/HND/BSC with 3-5+ years of proven collection experience, with at least one year in a managerial role.
• Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences in different functions in multiple geographic locations.
• Knowledge of Credit Risk fundamental principles and their application to collections and recoveries strategy.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills, detailed documentation, and sound judgment.
• Must be able to perform independently, be self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.

Salary

• Basic Salary is N50,000 per month Plus Commission
