Ascentech Services Limited - Our client, a Manufacturing company is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Locations: Lagos and Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Update and manage all accounting transactions, reports, accounts
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payables and receivables
• Ensure all timely payments
• Prepare Management reports
• Exercise and manage due Internal Control measures
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Liaise with Internal and External Auditors as necessary
• Any other task as and when advised

Requirements

• 5 years Proven work experience as an Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Professional certification (ICAN, CPA or CMA)
