Job Responsibilities

• Managing the workshop: A truck workshop manager is responsible for managing the workshop, ensuring that it operates efficiently and meets production targets.
• Managing the team: The manager should lead, motivate and manage their team, ensuring that they work together harmoniously to achieve common goals.
• Maintaining inventory: A truck workshop manager should manage the inventory, ensuring that parts and supplies are stocked and available when required.
• Ensuring compliance: The manager should ensure that the workshop adheres to all regulatory requirements, such as health and safety regulations and environmental laws.
• Managing customer relationships: The manager should maintain good relationships with customers and ensure that their needs are met.
• Ensuring profitability: The manager should keep the workshop profitable by managing costs, setting prices, and finding ways to improve productivity.

Qualities / Requirements

• University Degree In engineering or management.
• 5 - 15 years work experience.
• Technical expertise: A truck workshop manager must have technical knowledge of trucks and their maintenance requirements. They should have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks.
• Leadership: A good truck workshop manager must have excellent leadership skills to manage and motivate their team to work efficiently.
• Communication skills: Communication is essential in any management role. A truck workshop manager must have good communication skills to interact with their team, suppliers, and customers.
• Problem-solving: A truck workshop manager should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions to complex issues that arise in the workshop.
• Attention to detail: A truck workshop manager must have a keen eye for detail to ensure that the workshop operations run smoothly.
• Experience with managing SMT/Volvo Truck is highly deisrable.
