Job Title: Product Manager, Retail Segment (Mobile App)

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Role Summary

  • The product manager role requires someone who identifies customer needs and business objectives that a product is expected to fulfil, drives the product, and ensures the team members are aligned with the vision for the product.
  • This role requires someone who plays a vital part in taking ownership of our flagship product, is motivated to deliver success, and is highly customer-centric.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the mobile app, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Act as a Product Owner in an agile environment that defines, manages, and grooms the product backlog
  • Carry out market research, competitive analysis, and user surveys to identify user needs and pain points.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure features are delivered to specifications, schedule, and quality
  • Develop the product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to be used by the stakeholders, ensuring the right requirements are built
  • Carry out extensive tests such as A/B testing, Sanity testing and Regression testing to ensure users’ needs are met.
  • Motivate a group of committed, smart people to do the best work of their careers
  • Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning, and implementation
  • Ensure that the product goals, scope, and vision are well understood by the Scrum Team
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
  • Be the source of communication between the business, customers, and scrum team
  • Serve as a product evangelist, advocating for the mobile app internally and externally, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key product performance metrics such as but not limited to Net Promoter Score (NPS), Churn rate, drop-off rates, retention rates etc.

Requirements
What we are looking for:

  • You have 8 years of experience as a Product Manager in a FinTech Company
  • 6+ years of managing a Mobile App
  • Experience in managing Android and iOS apps for a financial  institution
  • You are familiar with the Agile framework and have worked in an Agile environment
  • You are willing to uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values here at Leatherback
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable product strategies and decisions.
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
  • Ability to deliver quality products according to schedule and scope
  • You are self-motivated and have a passion for building amazing products

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in Kotlin and Swift development framework
  • Strong understanding of mobile app development processes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to use the Azure DevOps platform
  • Product Management/Product Owner certification
  • Project Management certification.
