IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. We invite applications for the internationally recruited position of:

Job Title: Field Worker

Ref No: IITA-HR-NRS2015/034
Locations: Ibadan, Abuja, Kano or Onne

Background and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of demonstration farms
  • Assist to conduct field, laboratory, screen house experiments and sampling with guidance from Supervisor
  • Undertake planting and harvesting of crops
  • Conduct fertilizer and herbicide applications according to protocols
  • Undertake scoring of pest and diseases.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
  • Minimum of WASC with at least 2 years continuous work experience in  cassava value chain.
