Job Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Accountabilities

• Site/Condition Surveys
• Project Management
• Contract Administration
• Detailed Report Writing
• Defect Assessment and Remedial Advice
• Refurbishments, Restoration, Maintenance & Repair Advice
• Health & Safety reviews
• Client and Contractor Meetings
• Dilapidation Studies

Requirements / Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Surveying (BEng) or Masters Degree in Engineering (MEng)
• Membership of a recognised professional body (RICS)
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a consultancy environment.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and software calculation tools
• Significant postgraduate and senior experience in a design consultancy environment.
• Ideally previous design experience in Middle Eastern and UK or equivalent climates.
• Experience of highly serviced environments.
• A good understanding of architecture and a desire to contribute to the built environment.
• Experience of contributing to multiple projects and balancing workload requirements.
• Career-minded and looking for a new challenge, with the potential and ambition to progress within the firm.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages.
• Working knowledge and understanding of British, European, and ideally International standards.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior members of staff
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident and proactive character.
