Job Title: Project Assistant / Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project assistant/HSE Officer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up jobs, creating job folders, and completing Projects planning and execution.
  • Implement and maintain company's health and safety policies and standards.
  • Maintain, monitor, and organize project records and documentation on ongoing and incoming project opportunities.
  • Coordinate and collect subcontractor and supplier contacts on bid solicitations and project opportunities.
  • Coordinate and collect subcontractor and supplier bids to assist Project Manager in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates.
  • Support the Project Manager in working with government authorities on obtaining all necessary project permits, licenses, variances, and other land development processes.
  • Coordinate and track submittals, change orders, schedules, and other distribution of updated project documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings, take meeting minutes, and distribute meeting minutes on behalf of the Project Manager.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports, progress updates, and documentation to project management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Assist in identifying project risks and implementing risk mitigation measures to minimize potential impacts on project outcomes, personnel safety, and project costs.
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement based on trends.
  • Develop and institute accounting & business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary licenses and insurance, and any other duties as may be assigned by your line manager, General Manager or Director(s).

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Core Science related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-years’ experience, specifically in project management.
  • Age: Not more than 35 years old.
