We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Merchandiser

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Monitor and ensure maintenance of merchandising standards in assign area.
  • Monitor all placements for store section and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Manage and evaluate all financial documents, prepare reports and initiate all sales decision.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising and display arrangements in store, ensuring products are presented attractively and in line with brand guidelines.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock, conducting stock takes, and coordinating with the warehouse to ensure timely restocks.
  • Train and supervise merchandising staff, providing guidance on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and customer service expectations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and events that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Analyse sales data and inventory reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions on product placement and promotions.
  • Evaluate all accounts and ensure compliance to all merchandising standards.
  • Develop good customer care service programs and perform regular troubleshoot on same.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage, expired products and ensure the security of merchandise.
  • Coordinate with the warehousing team to ensure that all display fixtures and merchandising equipment are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

Requirements and Skills

  • B.Sc/HND degree in Marketing or related field with vast experience
  • Proven minimum working experience of 2 -5 years in merchandising
  • Good Administrative experience, Ms word & excel skills
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers.
