Publishing Assistant at the Bible Society of Nigeria

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a Christian non-governmental and not for profit organization in Nigeria founded 1966. The Bible Society of Nigeiratranslates, publishes and distributes Bibles in English and several local Nigerian languages. Making the Holy Bible available and affordable to Nigerians in their preferred languages and formats, helping them engage with the word of God through life-transforming programmes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Publishing Assistant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Responsibilities

• Type sets of scriptures and related materials for the Bible Society of Nigeria.
• Confirms that all materials and items to be typeset are complete and correct in all areas.
• Supervises the keyboarding of text in electronic format using the appropriate Unified Standard Format Markers and Codes.
• Ensures that the final formatting of text, illustrations, and other component parts of a publication is error-free and complete.
• To confirm blueprints from printers and production centers.
• To carry out any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by your immediate supervisor.

Personnel Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification
• Must be ready to deliver tasks on time.
• Must possess good human relations and communication skills.
• Must have an eye for details.
• Must be calm to do due diligence on every task assigned.
• Computer literacy is a must, and proficiency in the use of Adobe Suite is an added advantage.
• Must be a team player who can work along with other young and dynamic groups of employees to achieve results without compromising standards.
