Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
- Reconciliation of the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers·
- Keep record of company’s fixed Assets and maintain fixed assets register.
- Filing and remitting taxes and the other financial obligations
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
- Assist with budgets preparation and review
- Manage company’s ledgers and accounting records.
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions.
- Monitor business expenses in line with the approved budget
- Monitor petty cash and reconciling records
- Analyze financial performance.
- Achieving personal financial targets as advised by management.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of First Degree or its equivalent in numerate or semi-numerate disciplines such as Accounting Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Banking, Finance, Insurance, and Business Studies
- A minimum of 4+years experience in a financial role in the financial sector.
- Professional Membership: The candidate must have the ICAN or ACCA recognized professional qualification
- Good knowledge of I.F.R.S and current tax laws are mandatory.
- Good Knowledge of MS Excel & relevant accounting software.
